Beach Race Rules :
It begins with a starting line of the beach.
At each round on the course Pedestrian riders carry their boards.
Paddlers should follow instructions announced before the start of the race.
After rounding the last buoy, paddlers will finish the race in a sprint on the sand.
They are leaving their SUP near the beach
(they will be removed by the caddies for organizing and storing in a defined area).
Each paddler must cross the finish line to claim a ranking.
Competitors may not leave the finish area and pick up their SUP until they have signed the attendance sheet race.
Long Distance Race Rules
The long distance 6-8km Man Woman 12’6 will have the federal agrement
The Race can be reversed depending or changing of the wind,
will be specified when breafing (approximate distance 6-8km).
The long distance race is around all the buoys as indicated during the briefing before departure. At no time during the race a competitor can or should prevent another competitor to row. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.
All competitors who have not passed all the buoys or past a buoy on the wrong side will be penalized (error aside) or disqualified from the race (not passed buoy).
Paddlers should be designated the length of the course. The race distance is about 6-8KM. If you fall, you get 5 stroke, get up and stand. If this rule is violated is a direct disqualification
The riders will leave in line with their Stand Up Paddle in their hand along the beach
After rounding the last buoy, paddlers finish their race in a sprint finish on the sand, paddle in hand. The SUP must be left on the shore. All competitors must cross the finish line with paddle in hand in order to be classified. Competitors must not leave the finish area until they are ticked off.
